UK-based, Jamaica-born recording artiste Ross I-Yota is in an upbeat mood as he promotes his new EP, Reggae Garden.

The project, which consists of four songs, was released by No Script Records on October 8.

"This project is a throwback to the golden era of reggae music. All four songs feature various elements of roots reggae music and dub. Since the EP came out, I've been getting a lot of positive feedback about it from my fans all over the world," said Ross I-Yota.

The firebrand singjay is confident that it won't be long before he becomes known internationally.

"Since I began my career, I've learned a lot about the music business. I've also created a good body of work which has helped me to make some serious inroads in the music business. With each new project, I try to raise the bar because I intend to become a force to be reckoned with on the global music scene," said the artiste.

Ross I-Yota also touched on the importance of mentorship, which is something that he believes is lacking in Jamaican music.

"I think it's very unfortunate that a lot of people in the music business are unwilling to mentor people who are new to the business. I just wish that more of the people who are at the top would help those who are just beginning their careers," he said.

Ross I-Yota, given-name John-Ross Channer, hails from Brown's Hall in St Catherine. He launched his recording career in 2007 with the release of a single Kusholic, which was produced by Trustkeenmusicgroup.
