Emerging reggae artiste Courtney Undah Privilege is asking some tough questions about the dual nature of man in his latest single, Question.

"How do you show God that you love Him? Why do individuals commit acts of murder and betrayal and extortion, flying in the face of God Himself? Why do we know the difference between right and wrong and still do the wrong? These are fundamental questions about us as human beings," said the artiste, whose given name is Courtney Nevers.

The song was released on October 17 on all digital platforms and is already in rotation on stations such as FAME FM.

"The next move is to shoot a music video," he said.

Over the past few years, Courtney Undah Privilege has established himself as one of the leading reggae-dancehall performers in the Oakland area in California.

"Music and life flow together as one action; my universal views and experience did not come by accident," he said.

Born in Kingston, the artiste began his musical career in 1979 with the sound system Creative Source, receiving his mentorship from Errol Scorpion. He joined the US Navy, and after serving overseas, returned to the mainland and began performing at several night spots such as the popular Caribbean City in Oakland, alongside reggae bands and sound systems in the area.

He has shared billing with artistes like Black Uhuru, Eek-a-Mouse, Sugar Minott and Super Cat.

Courtney Undah Privilege also balances his roles as an actor, artiste, music producer (Podeville Production) and songwriter. He has appeared in movies such Gangsta's Paradise, Straight Out and Rude Boy the Jamaican Don. He has also starred in two seasons of the sitcom Arnold's Caribbean Pizza, with a third season set to film soon.
