Promising to deliver a masterful performance, veteran dancehall deejay General B said he will leverage his 30 years of experience in music to give fans a great performance at Sting.

"You know Sting is a hardcore show. So sometimes you may have all 20 gal songs, but you know you haffi hold dem back and be like a hardcore artiste. As an artiste, yuh haffi just know your audience and bring your A game," the Can't Stop Me deejay said.

General B, who first appeared on the Boxing Day event in 1993, when he was invited onstage by fellow deejay Roundhead, said he was happy to get the call from Sting's promoters for this year's event.

"Mi last performance at Sting was the last time dem keep it before dem tek the break, and mi ready as usual," he said.

"Most a the people dem a acknowledge that Sting is a real authentic show that gives real authentic dancehall music and performance from real artistes, so mi kinda did a expect a call. And what mi realise, Sting a try fi mix the line-up with four different generation. Dem have the '80s, the '90s, the 2000s, and the new artistes; and that's how you should keep a show. Mi grateful fi get the call from dem fi be a part of this," he said

Furthermore, he reasoned that Sting is a competitive environment that is sometimes unpredictable, so he will be fully prepared to woo the audience.

"Sting also build artiste creativity. Mi no know where on the line-up I fall yet, because sometimes dem have fi dem way how dem do things. It may be that dem want three artistes on the stage same time, or dem may want like a medley; so whatever it is, mi a go ready," he assured fans.

Although he has a vast repertoire of hits from the 1990s, General B said he is also promoting new songs such as Modern and Friends Like These.
