Only Alpha ready to make Sting debut
Dancehall artiste Only Alpha is looking forward to making his debut on this year's Sting concert which returns to its Jamworld home in Portmore, St Catherine.
"This is going to be a big night for me. I am looking forward to this because of the history of Sting and the opportunity to show what I can do in front of a big crowd, and to showcase what dancehall is all about," Only Alpha said.
The young deejay is already making major noise with his latest release, Dark Page, which has been on the radio waves and is sparking interest on social media platforms like TikTok.
"So far I have had mainly positive reviews. I have performed this song many times over several weeks and the reception has been exceptional. The inspiration behind the song is my efforts in trying to make a change within myself, but it doesn't usually happen when or how we want it," said the artiste, whose given name is Alpha Beckford.
Dark Page was released on WKDL Records on September 1. Only Alpha's follow-up singles include the high-energy Weed and Grabba.
"We shot the video last week for Weed and Grabba and we're gonna release that soon," he said.
