Dancehall artiste Fully Bad has admitted that he was agitated while entering Sting early Wednesday morning, and that carried over onto the stage.

But he is adamant that he did not start the fight with fellow deejay Honormosity which brought an impromptu end to the show. Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR on Thursday, he said he was irate as members of the security forces searched his bus while letting other entertainers through unbothered.

"A mi make Sting hot and is not Kyodi, because him nuh too hot. A mi close the show, which means say is mi is the headliner, suh dem was disrespecting me at the gate [of the Jamworld Entertainment Centre in Portmore, St Catherine] and wah search mi and mi bus. Mi never like that suh mi just come out on the stage 'dark'," he said, adding that he only agreed to clash with fellow artiste Kyodi.

"Mi even say to [Sting promoter Isaiah] Laing that any artiste walk up on my performance when mi and Kyodi a clash, ago get it. Mi work so hard over the years an' a eight years now mi a get fight and it's my time now," the deejay said.

"Honormosity come on and interrupt my performance because, when mi fi reply to Kyodi, him interrupt my set, suh it get mi in a anger. Mi touch him to stop him, to take him off the stage, and him chuck mi, and that's when mi react with the microphone. A never mi start anything," Fully Bad insisted. Fully Bad, whose given name is Nicholas Bartley, and Honormosity, whose given name is Layton Simms, have been charged with disorderly conduct along with two other men.

Fully Bad said that he regrets his actions at the show's 40th staging and has issued a public apology. He added that he is aware of how influential the genre is, but said his music is not to be blamed for the actions of the younger generation.

"Mi never want the fans dem to see mi in that action because it can break or build mi career. Mi just a come inna di ting enuh, suh mi can't change it, suh mi nuh too have nothing to say on that. Dancehall music very influential eno, but if a youth get up and go do something bad, him do it off him own. Is not really my music tell him say to go do that," he said. He also clarified that there is no bad blood between himself, Honormosity and Kyodi.

"A uptown all a we come from, and Honormosity a good and humble youth. But mi just never like what happen a Sting. But, big him up same way. Kyodi a mi son and him grow inna mi hands. Him good same way and mi nah fight nuh youth," he said.
