Up-and-coming dancehall artiste Promaxx is looking forward to a bright future in the music business.

The deejay, who hails from Luke Lane in Kingston, believes that she has what it takes to be the next big female act in dancehall music.

"Growing up in downtown Kingston, I was exposed to music from a very early age. I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. So, a career in music was always foremost in my thoughts as I grew up. And now that I'm in the game, I plan to go all the way to the top. I have the talent and the image; all I need to do is keep working. My success is sure," she said.

Promaxx is currently promoting her debut single, Healing. The song, which Tesha G Records produced, was released along with a video less than a month ago.

"This song was inspired by real-life events. Writing it and recording it took a lot of strength, but I had to do it. Sometimes life is very painful and depressing; however, we have to find a way to heal and move forward. That's the message I want people to get from Healing," said Promaxx.

She is also working on other projects for Tesha G Records.

"This is my year; I'm not easing up. By this time next year, I will be one of the hottest acts in dancehall music," she said.

Promaxx, given name Tyanna Samuels, launched her recording career last November with the release of a single titled Corrupt.
