Social media has become the outlet for the choice of promotion for several artistes, and dancehall recording artiste RT Boss is no exception.

His latest single, Ben Ben Ben Back, has hit social media like a storm, which has found favour with fans participating in the 'Ben Ben Ben Back Challenge'.

"[It] has the females going crazy doing 'bend' dances on TikTok and other social media platforms. The song has really created a viral moment. It's trending on TikTok, and social media personalities such as Queenie, A'mari, Cheeseford, Shebada, and Roger have been pushing the song. Dem love the lyrics and the riddim and the vibes," said RT Boss, whose given name is Nardo Smith.

The song was released on his own RT Records imprint in December, and it racked up more than 107,000 views in two days. He plans to shoot a video for the single.

RT Boss has developed a reputation for his brand of music which blends dancehall and rap with high-tempo dancehall beats. He recorded his first song, Success Just Begin, in 2019, investing heavily in his own music. That investment has begun to pay dividends as over the past four years, he has solidified an underground fan base with several songs, the most popular of which are Dalla, Mek It and Shake.

RT Boss grew up in the communities of Brook Valley, Duhaney Park in St Andrew, as well as Central Road in Central Village, St Catherine.

In 2013, he created his business, RT Family Gone Global Inc, which also serves as a charity organisation.
