Jarvell has high hopes for debut single

Up-and-coming dancehall artiste Jarvell believes that having a positive mindset is a key factor in achieving success.

"Everything I've achieved so far in life was attained through positive thinking and hard work. Without a positive mindset, you're bound to live a life of failure and misery," said the artiste.

The deejay, who lists Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel among his musical influences, is currently promoting his debut single, titled Move Mountain. The song, which was produced by Tesha G Records, was released along with a video on January 7.

"It says in the Bible that with faith as small as a mustard seed you can move mountains, and I believe this is true. That is why I recorded Move Mountain. It is a song of inspiration and I am sure that with the right promotion, it will be a hit," he said.

The artiste is currently working on new projects.

"I'm recording some new songs for Tesha G Records. I'm very grateful to my producer Scrappy and the whole Tesha G Records family for producing and releasing my first official single. With their continued support, it won't be long before I become a household name in the music industry," he said.

Jarvell, given name Jarvell McGregor, hails from Duhaney Park in St Andrew. He's a past student of Haile Selassie High School.
