On February 15 when Nigy Boy arrives in Jamaica, the first stop in his hectic travel itinerary will be the Salvation Army School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Kingston, his alma mater.

"It's a humbling but exciting feeling to be returning to the institution that moulded me into the man I am today," said the entertainer, whose given name is Nigel Hector.

"It has always been a dream of mine to represent the Salvation Army School for the Blind to the best of my ability in some capacity, and it just so happens that I'm doing it through music," Nigy Boy said.

In addition to meeting with teachers and administrators at the school, the Continent hitmaker is scheduled to give a pep talk to students about his musical journey.

"I want the next generation of children at this institution to know that success doesn't come overnight, but it is attainable. As long as they put in the work, they can achieve their goals. They may not know it yet, but the foundation for the individuals they will become starts within those walls" he shared.

The Salvation Army School for the Blind and Visually Impaired has been providing quality education for some of the most vulnerable Jamaicans since 1927. The school caters to students who are classified as having low vision or totally blind. Academic studies are augmented with instructions in compensatory skills like mobility, orientation, keyboard, computer and Braille.

Music teacher at the school Tahlee Lee shared her excitement ahead of Nigy Boy's return.

"I think his visit will instil a sense of pride. It will give them hope that one day they can excel, too. It is a good feeling not just for them, but for me, too, knowing that I had a hand in training him in the area of music" she added.

While in Jamaica, the 'Continent Boss' will perform in Ocho Rios, St Ann, at Margaritaville on February 16 and at Aquasol Beach in Montego Bay, St James, on February 17.

"I am excited to perform in Jamaica," said the artiste whose hit song, recorded on Rvssian's popular 'Dutty Money' riddim, has been bit a resounding success.

"I am still in awe that the song has been performing so well there," he told THE STAR.

"It's a humbling feeling and I just have to say thanks to the fans for their support, because it would not have happened without them."

Officially released on January 3, Continent has racked up 4.2 million-plus views on YouTube in just weeks. The contagious song boasts an infectious beat that has found traction on TikTok and IG, with thousands of users posting viral dance videos daily.

"I've actually been seeing a lot of iterations of Continent on the Internet. The female interactions are just phenomenal. It is helping to drive the popularity of the song way beyond the core fans. It's amazing to me how music can inspire creativity among so many fans," he said.
