Sponge predicts Alkaline’s new single will be a hit
Producer Charles Williston, aka 'Sponge', has predicted that Alkaline's latest single, ' Nah Lef Eh Game', will be one of the biggest hits this year.
The song, which was produced by the Montego Bay-born producer, was released along with a video by Sponge Music and Autobamb Records imprint on February 1.
"By now people should realise that every time Alkaline teams up with Sponge Music, we create hits. Alkaline is one of the top dancehall acts in the world because he's a trendsetter. This song is a game changer, and I am sure it's going to be one of the biggest songs for 2024," Sponge said.
Aiming for an international audience with Nah Lef Eh Game, Sponge contracted the services of Atlanta-based Jamaican video director Deus Beni to create a stunning visual for the song.
"This video is on a whole different level; it was filmed in some of the most opulent parts of Miami. I have to give a lot of props to Deus Beni for his vision and creative energy. I also have to big up Alkaline's manager, Kerena Beckford, and Autobamb Records team," he said.
Sponge and his sister, Tanya Williston, launched the Sponge Music imprint in 2020, and since then he has produced hits for several popular dancehall and reggae artistes.
Last year the label enjoyed tremendous success with the release of the 'Forgiven' rhythm, which featured songs from Mavado, Dexta Daps, Govana and Jay-A.
