Sophia Brown back on the road

Reggae singer Sophia Brown is enjoying being on the road again for the first time since her 2022 US tour alongside her band, Vybz Unit.

"We performed in various parts of the US, including New York, Louisiana, St Louis, Chicago and Cincinnati. It was a very long tour; we were on the road during winter and spring. After a short break, we resumed touring in the summer until the end of fall," she said.

"Last year I stayed away from touring so I could focus on the release of my memoir, Heart of a Broken Girl. That and the release of my single, titled Frozen, took up most of my time in 2023. However, I am very happy to be back on the road again, reconnecting with my fans and making new ones," she added.

Brown is currently on tour with fellow reggae artiste and close friend Ginjah. The tour, which both artistes co-headline, kicked off at the House of EDM in Columbus, Ohio, on February 16.

"This tour has got off to a very good start. So far, we've performed in Columbus and Cincinnati. We have several shows coming up in other places, including Virginia, Indiana, Chicago, Minnesota, Florida and Michigan. I also have one show in Canada," she said.

Also on the cards for Brown is the release of her upcoming Frozen EP and the second volume of her memoirs. Both projects are slated to be released later this year.
