Tipsy lit up ‘Back Road’
It was a new location, but it was the same vibe at Tipsy, the ultra beach party which was held recently.
The event, which was usually held at Hellshire Beach, is now beside the Jewels Hotel, on the popular Port Henderson Road, more popularly known as 'Back Road', in Portmore, St Catherine. Promoter of Tipsy Andre Rhooms said he was pleased with this year's staging, and he looks forward to the next.
"Tipsy was a good look, the party has grown over the years and now is a staple on patrons' entertainment list," he said. He noted that when he started the event in 2019, he was looking for a catchy name.
"My brethren Marlon said, 'Call the party Tipsy', and I run with the name. As you know, when you are in a party setting and under a vibes, the name 'Tipsy' would resonate with you," he said.
"Tipsy is not a one-man thing, it's a whole community effort, and I thank my team, the promotion groups, for pushing the event on social media, and my valid patrons for their support and making the party a success," he added.
The musical presentations were by veteran Portmore-based disc jock Bumpy Cash, DJ Unknown, and DJ Tele.
