Advisor Sparkla gives a black history lesson
Recording artiste Advisor Sparkla is educating the masses in his newest song, ' A Brief History'.
Produced by Music 2 Di Soul Production, the track was officially released on February 6. Highlighting Africa, the song gives thanks for legendary black people such as Rosa Parks, Bob Marley, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, Peter Tosh, Steve Biko and Mutabaruka, the only living person referenced in the song. Since its release, the track has been receiving great feedback, which is a good sign for its potential to grow as a hit over time.
"I hope that the song will reach the Rastafarian community and everyone who wants to know the history of black people," the artiste expressed.
Born Everton Barrett, Advisor Sparkla has been writing music since 1993 but didn't actively pursue music until this release.
"My style of music is conscious and uplifting, with no violence. My aim is to educate and inform the masses to be better and do better," he said.
While he is also a farmer and construction worker, the artiste is using his platform to spread positive messages and will continue to release more conscious music like this song that will resonate with the people.
"My aim is to stem violence through my music. You will see a lot more from me in the near future, so you can look out for it. I also have plans to work on a music video for this song" he revealed.
