Pastor Barry Hall of the Ekklesia Bible Fellowship took up a familiar mantle on Carnival Sunday. Stationed outside his church on Hope Road, Hall delivered his 'Living Water' and the Word to passing revellers during Sunday's Carnival in Jamaica Road March.

He told THE STAR that he has been ministering to masqueraders at Carnival events for the last 12 years, passing out water and pamphlets.

"We're not here to condemn a soul. We're here to share the love of God," he said.

He says he has received a warm reception.

"For the most part, we are very welcomed by the revellers," Hall said, adding that it is other Christians who have questioned their presence.

"We might get some condemnation from people like ourselves," he said, "but we are here to share the Gospel, and we won't be deterred."
