The father-son team of Junior and Bamm Holt have worked on a number of projects in recent years.

Several of their songs are covers of the classic songs of reggae legend John Holt, who was Junior's father and Bamm's grandfather. But their latest effort sees them taking a different direction. Da Rula is the name of Junior's new song, which was released in March. It is produced by Bamm and is the first recording released from their Connecticut-based studio. According to Junior, the song is strong on spirituality. It acknowledges the Rastafarian faith he discovered in his youth, as well as the Christian heritage of his mother and grandmother.

" Da Rula wasn't a planned song. I heard the instrumental playing and I was feeling a punchline, and I realised that I found something; so I just built on it," said Junior.

Since Holt died in 2014 at age 69, Junior and his son have covered some of his songs, including Police in Helicopter, and Tribal War, to maintain interest in his vast catalogue. They have also performed on shows in his honour in South Florida and Jamaica. Last year, Junior appeared at Rebel Salute.
