Record producer Herbert Ellis, the mastermind behind Embrace the Lord Records, is poised to unveil a reggae compilation album titled The Engraph Rhythm, boasting a line-up of esteemed reggae icons.

Featuring artistes such as Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths, Luciano, Etana, Lukie D, George Nooks, Bro Elliot and Glen Washington, this digital release marks Ellis' maiden venture into blending reggae with gospel music. Inspired by reggae's recent ascent on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with YG Marley's Praise Jah In the Moonlight, Ellis said that he believes the time is ripe for producers to craft quality music. The album, resonating with positive messages, aims to inspire listeners to live in harmony with the Creator.

Ellis revealed the album's genesis, sharing how a divine message led to the creation of the 'Embrace The Lord' slogan, which evolved into a full-fledged musical endeavour.

"I was home and I heard a voice say 'Embrace the Lord' and I felt some type of way. I grabbed my computer and after some thinking, I decided to print some T-shirts saying 'Embrace The Lord'. I then told Elliot and he said it sounded like a song, so I started working on musical projects until, now, it became an album. It has taken me on a long musical journey, but it's honestly deeper and more spiritual than music," he said.

The Engraph Rhythm signifies a rare convergence of established reggae artistes in delivering gospel-infused reggae, underscoring a deliberate effort to spread positivity in today's music landscape.

"I want Jamaica and the world to take this project seriously because of the word and the message, which is to 'embrace the Lord'. Reggae never gets old and we need positive content, especially in this climate where music has taken a turn for the worse," Ellis said.

The album will hit online stores in late April. Ellis also hinted that he might be releasing a limited supply of vinyl albums, depending on the success of the project.
