An avid advocate for living a fun-filled but conscious life, reggae icon Turbulence is currently basking in the success of his recent high-energy single, ' One Life'.

The track topped the Reggae Australia, and the Dasvibes-produced single has been making a notable impact in additional areas such as Europe and Japan. Turbulence credits the "old-school, 90s vibe" of the beat for the song's success.

"The current wave in reggae and dancehall allows the 90s and early 2000s energy to be a part of the younger crowd and with that in mind, I thought it would be impactful to add to this new wave in an effort to appeal to the younger generation, and it has been successful thus far. By engaging younger audiences, I gain fans who grow to appreciate my core music; and with that my message continues to transcend and my part is being done," shared Turbulence. He also gave credit to the production of the track.

"The producer for the track reached out, and when I heard the beat, we immediately found the concept and ended up with an international hit. The marketing behind the track has brought the track to various curators and disc jocks worldwide through the producer's connections with brands as major as Warner Bros. So it's definitely a good feeling to be experiencing the rise of this song," he said.

With his track steadily gaining momentum, the Notorious singer shares that he is thankful for his recent surge in Caribbean shows. "Since Sting 2023, yuh can seh mi a rice and peas, Mi hot ova back a yaaad, because for a while I was only performing overseas and doing tours that had no Jamaican shows, but things have changed and this has created a spectrum for me to now appeal and engage with new demographics, while giving them the right messages through my art."

Having several local shows lined up, including Sumfest 2024, Turbulence promises an engaging set, followed by a tour of Europe and the Caribbean to close out the year. The artiste will also be launching his official label, Black Carpet Productions, this year as he is currently mentoring the careers of several up-and-coming acts who he believes will positively add to the country's musical genes.

Turbulence is known worldwide for tracks such as Notorious, X-Girlfriend, We've Got The Love and Name and Number.
