Zed Regal promotes female empowerment
UK-based dancehall/reggae artiste Zed Regal recently teamed up with Billboard Award-winning producer Kemar 'Flava' McGregor to record a new single titled Top Class.
It is one of the featured tracks of McGregor's latest dancehall project, the 'Recoup' rhythm.
"This track was done for the ladies, it's all about female empowerment. I want all the beautiful, ambitious, hard-working women out there to know that they are loved and appreciated. Whether you are a part of the workforce or a stay-at-home mom, you are top-class. You'll never hear Zed Regal singing songs that degrade women. No, that's not my style. I love to big up the ladies," said the artiste.
The Britain-born deejay, whose parents are Jamaican, has high praises for McGregor.
"Working with Kemar McGregor on this single was an amazing experience. This man is an incredibly talented and highly skilled producer. He really inspired me to deliver my best on this track," Zed Regal said.
"Since I recorded this song for Flava, he has expressed his desire to work on more projects with me. The next project he's working on is the 'Bug' rhythm and I will be on that one as well. Separate and apart from my projects with him, I'm also looking forward to releasing a track with Beenie Man later this year," he added.
Since his emergence on the UK music scene, Zed Regal has performed at some of the biggest festivals in England, including Glastonbury, Boomtown, and Notting Hill Carnival. Some of his releases are Suh Di Ting Guh, Temperature Rising, and Woah.
