Brush1 and Bloodline Franco for Rum Festival

DJ/MC Brush1 The Road Marshal and Bloodline Franco have been added to the entertainment roster for the fifth staging of the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum Festival, which is scheduled for July 18.

Similar to the unique blending of traditional and modern techniques in rum and spirit making, Brush1 has been a crowd favourite, especially on soca scenes, captivating regional and international audiences alike with his unique ability to blend traditional with contemporary sounds.

"For me, it is all about the vibes and the energy. Once we hit the stage, it's high impact, high energy right throughout. People from all over the world come to Rum Festival and music is a big part of that enjoyment. I am excited to be back at Rum Festival. I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise, but fans can definitely look forward to soca, campa, Afrobeats and, of course, dancehall mixes," Brush1 shared.

Joining him is Bloodline Franco, a DJ whose deep roots in Caribbean music and culture have made him a beloved figure in the industry. His eclectic style and profound connection to the rhythms of the Caribbean promise to bring an authentic and exhilarating vibe to the day-to-night Rum Festival. His passion for music and innate ability to engage the crowd will ensure that the spirit of the Caribbean resonates throughout the event.

According to Dominic Bell, communication manager at J. Wray & Nephew Ltd, showcasing Jamaica as the home of the finest rums, culinary offerings and entertainment is at the heart of the festival.

"Music, like rum, is a core part of our culture, so it was a no-brainer for us to include the diverse talents of DJs Brush1 and Bloodline Franco to our entertainment line-up this year. Together, DJ Brush1 and DJ Franco will not only entertain, but also bridge the gap between Jamaica's storied rum tradition and its vibrant musical landscape," he said.

The 2024 staging of the festival will be held at the Catherine Hall Stadium in Montego Bay, in partnership with Reggae Sumfest, and will culminate with the Blitz concert - a Reggae Sumfest collaboration.
