International reggae-dancehall superstar Sean Paul has expressed his heartfelt admiration for 19-year-old recording artiste J'Calm, and says he foresees a bright future for him.

"I think J'Calm is a very talented artiste whose style is a mixture of R&B, dancehall and reggae, and it's really exciting to see him progress," Sean Paul said. "He has already garnered a powerful fan base, and if he continues to put out the quality songs he has been putting out, he definitely has a solid future to look forward to here in Jamaica and in international waters."

Sean Paul has also collaborated with J'Calm to remix his standout track, Call My Name, from his debut album, Niche. Produced by Rosegold Records, the original track has received great reception from fans throughout the Caribbean, USA and Africa, but the remix is expected to attract an even wider audience. Call My Name (Remix) was released on July 3. The track's modern, sultry rhythms resonate as J'Calm's mellow R&B lyrical flow sets the tone, while Sean Paul's authentic dancehall style adds the momentum. Despite the generational differences, the chemistry between the two artistes is undeniable, blending seamlessly to create a captivating sound that appeals to both younger and older audiences.

Additionally, Sean Paul's label, Dutty Rock Productions, recently released the 'Brimstone' rhythm on which J'Calm is featured with the single Sweet Love; Sean Paul said this "is merely the beginning".

"The remix is out and we just want all the people that love music to take a listen. We are also producing several other songs for him (J'Calm), set to be released in the near future," shared Sean Paul, who is currently on the European leg of the 'Greatest' tour. Fans of both artistes have cried out for a video for the remix. J'Calm, still revelling in the excitement of securing the collaboration, said there is a possibility their requests may be fulfilled.

"I've always heard people say there's power in speaking things into existence, but I never imagined I'd be working with an artiste like Sean Paul, who I look up to, so early in my career. It's truly an honour and a privilege. It is a great feeling to know that he sees potential in me. So, let's manifest the music video for the Call My Name (Remix) and for more greatness to come out of this collaboration," he said.

J'Calm's debut single, Tempted, was featured on Barack Obama's summer playlist and he continues to attract the attention of international celebrities, including R&B superstar Chris Brown, and British singer and actress Mahalia.

J'Calm is billed to perform on the Afrojam Weekend on August 24 at Jamwest Beach in Negril.
