September 7 is a date of profound significance for gospel artiste and pastor Ryan Mark.

It was on this day in 2014 that he embarked on his pastoral journey, founding Pure In Heart Ministries International. Now, as the church prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary, Ryan Mark is also marking 20 years in gospel music. To honour these twin milestones, he is set to release his latest album, fittingly titled Milestone. The album is his fifth solo studio project.

"I created this project to offer musical diversity that resonates with a wide range of listeners. My hope is that the album will uplift, encourage, and spiritually empower, while being fun, positive, and joyful," he said. Milestone will feature collaborations with DJ Nicholas, Johnmark Wiggan, Positive from Trinidad and Tobago, and Latoya HD.

Reflecting on his dual journey in music and ministry, Ryan Mark described the experience as both humbling and challenging. He opined that he has evolved immensely over the past two decades and is most proud of the impact he has made as both a pastor and an entertainer.

"When I started this journey, my focus was to give it my all and uplift the name of Jesus for as long as I could. To have the opportunity to do that for 20 years has been a blessing," he said. "This journey has been filled with challenges and great victories that have taught me many lessons. It has played a major role in my growth in all aspects of life. I'm grateful that I still have the chance to express my creativity and positively impact others through music and ministry."

Ryan Mark, who has previously shared that his ordination as a minister was an unexpected twist, still finds himself surprised by his achievements in this role. Leading a ministry for 10 years is no small feat.

"So, it's a milestone for all of us, and it's going to be pure festivities," he shared, hinting at his upcoming gospel festival, Pure Fest. He expressed his belief that the line-up for Pure Fest is refreshing because it features artistes who the gospel music industry hasn't seen together on the same stage in a while.

"We're putting in all the effort to make this a memorable celebration with excellent production, both locally and virtually, that people will enjoy. Plus, we're fulfilling the purpose of raising funds to have an even greater impact," he said. Ryan Mark revealed that in 2023, his ministry embarked on a philanthropic mission that has already touched many lives.

"Through our 'Home For Heart' initiative, we've helped with school tuition, medical bills, charitable activities, and entrepreneurial ventures. This year, we want to make an even greater impact, so the proceeds from Pure Fest will help us continue our acts of giving," he said. Pure Fest is set to take place on September 7 at the Swallowfield Chapel. DJ Nicholas, Jason Mighty, Goddy Goddy, and Naurice Edwards are all slated to perform.
