Stalk Ashley channels ‘Brat’ energy into new album
Recording artiste Stalk Ashley is embracing her inner brat with her new album, Stalky The Bratt, released on August 30.
The 12-track project, executive produced by Jax, features production work from industry heavyweights like Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor, Anju Blaxx, and Mvssiah.
"To be a brat is to be real all the time. It's a vow to oneself to be the 'realest', truest version of themselves, all the time. That's the vibe of the album," the singer said.
Stalky The Bratt includes special appearances by acclaimed artistes such as Sean Paul and Valiant. It features singles such as Really Like You, Brixx, and Senseless, featuring Kraff and Skeng.
"This project is packed with bangers, there's truly a song for everyone on here. One should listen with an open mind and ears as there are messages to be heard," the singer revealed.
As the follow-up to her 2021 Atlantic Records-produced EP, Excuses, this new project is intended to heal the inner child of listeners and create an enjoyable vibe overall.
"Imagine being 10 years old and meeting your future self, who is 15 years older. She's the coolest girl ever! She looks like a life-size version of your favourite doll, a real-life brat. Now imagine that version of yourself hugging you and telling you, 'You are perfect as you are, and your life will turn out just fine as long as you stay true to yourself.' That's what this project feels like, a warm hug with your inner child," the singer said.
