Avaran gains global traction for ‘Love Cry’
Bahamas-based labels Hungry Belly Records and Cyclone Music Group have found success with their ' Love Cry', release by Bahamian reggae recording artiste Avaran.
The track is presented as a part of the labels' Tears of Life compilation, which also features a host of other acts such as Aydee ( Life Isn't Fair), Cathy Matete ( Your Word), and Ras Shiloh ( Keep Love Going). Avaran shared that Love Cry was influenced by real-life experiences.
"My first heartbreak brought this track to life. Everyone remembers their first heartbreak, losing that best friend, who knows everything about you, for peace of mind even though it still hurts. That life experience brought out all the emotions engulfed in this track," he said.
Since its release through VPAL Music last month, the track has garnered the attention of numerous disc jocks and online curators, leading the artiste and the labels to begin the groundwork for releasing the track's official visuals.
"My team and I are especially exuberant about capturing what was a real-life experience in a way that will allow viewers to be wrapped in the essence of the song virtually. It has a lot of potential [and is] aimed towards being an anthem, both within our Caribbean diaspora as well as globally. With our marketing plan, I believe we can definitely achieve it," said Avaran.
While Avaran continues to fervently promote Love Cry, he added that his previously released track, Who Shall Jah Send, had set the tone for his current success and he is grateful.
" Who Shall Jah Send speaks to the restoration of our world and seeking salvation during our darkest days, and, so far, the message in this track continues to be widely received across every demographic it is introduced to. The track is being heavily played ... and I am grateful to the Most High for his continued blessings through the support of our people."
Additional tracks from Avaran include Father's Work, a collaboration with Luciano, and Danger Zone.
