Kaylah Angusis having the time of her life in music

Kaylah Angus, a part-time psychology student at The University of the West Indies, is having the time of her life in music.

"As an artiste, I view music as an avenue of expression for my creativity and I don't believe in doing the same thing that other artistes have done. I want to do things that have never been done before in music. I want to create what's never been created and to do the unexpected," she said.

The talented newcomer, who hails from Montego Bay, St James, is already generating attention with her debut single, Block & Delete, which was released on January 8.

"I had an awesome time working on this single with veteran keyboard player Richard 'Goofy' Campbell. He built the beat for the song and did the mixing and [was the] mastering engineer. I really learned a lot while composing and producing this song," said Angus.

The former Mount Alvernia High School student has promised to release more songs soon.

"Although I'm just starting, I have a lot of experiences to share musically. Therefore, I plan to release many songs as I build my career. I want to become a world-renowned singer, songwriter and composer - performing, touring, manifesting my dream collaborations, with the likes of Chronixx, Koffee, Nicki Minaj and UK artiste Little Simz," she said.

Angus is currently busy in the studio working on several new projects that she plans to release later this year.
