Ras Ivi Tafari on Sunday officiated at the private remembrance for reggae artiste Rohan 'Determine' Bennett, who passed away on February 13, in Baltimore, USA, following a health battle.

Known for the 1995 hit song, Kette Drum, it was only appropriate that the drums were an integral part of the service, which was held at the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre, at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew.

Invited guests were asked to dress in a choice of colours, including white, red, gold and green and for the most part they complied. They were also asked to "bring a Kette drum .... mek we hear di sound" and some did. The family was well represented and leading the charge were Determine's long-time partner Paula Francis and their three children Runkus, Akilah and Zaire Bennett. Several friends and well-wishers from the entertainment fraternity were also present.
