This week we continue with our series of quick and easy breakfast recipes to get you out of the house faster in the mornings while making sure that the little ones are well fed.

Grace Franks 'n' Beans

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Yields: 4 servings

Ingredients
4  Grace chicken frankfurters
2 tablespoon(s) Grace vegetable oil
1 can Grace baked beans
1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 stalk scallion, chopped

Directions
1. Slice Grace chicken frankfurters and set aside.
2. Heat Grace vegetable oil in a frying pan, add frankfurters to the pan and stir continuously and heat through for about 30 seconds.
3. Add Grace baked beans to frankfurters.
4. Add black pepper, garlic powder and chopped scallion and cook for approximately two minutes.

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Yield: 4 servings


 

Grace Frankfurter Fritters
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup Grace vegetable oil
2 whole Grace chicken frankfurters, shredded
1 small onion, chopped
1 stalk scallion, chopped
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups flour
1 medium egg, beaten
3/4 cup water

 Directions
1. Heat Grace vegetable oil in a frying pan.

2.  In a bowl, combine the shredded frankfurters, chopped onion and scallion, black pepper, salt, flour, beaten egg and water and mix well to form a batter.
3. Drop one tablespoonful of the batter in the frying pan.  Fry until golden brown on each side for five minutes.
3. Drain and serve hot.

Yield: 12 servings

Cooking time: 10 minutes
