#JaVotes2016: No stroke can stop my vote

February 25, 2016

A recent stroke did little to thwart the voting affairs of Valrela Madison who was ushered to the West-Central St. James polling station in the Mt. Salem community to vote for her favoured political party.

The 74-year-old woman, who was confined to a wheelchair, was beaming from ear to ear when she exited the polling station at the Mt. Salem Primary and Junior High School, having finally accomplished her day’s goal.

Her determination to vote was simply being a die-hearted PNP supporter exercising her rights.

“From me born until now me a PNP and the whole a my family a PNP,” the elderly woman told The Gleaner today. “I feel good and so longs me vote then we (the PNP) must win,” Madison added as she other party supporters prepared to escort her back home on Piggott Street in the community.
