Maggi mobile road show hits Linstead
In an effort to reach out to patrons who have supported its products over the years, Maggi last Saturday, launched its mobile road show and fortune wheel promotion at JRs supermarket in Linstead St. Catherine.
The road show is, among other things, aimed at promoting Maggi soups as a healthy, nutritious and economical for the entire family.
Wendy Robertson, consumer marketing manager for culinary portfolio at Nestle Jamaica, the parent company of Maggi, told THE STAR that the mobile roads how, which is expected to visit 14 other locations islandwide, is also aimed at rewarding consumers for their loyalty and support for Maggi products.
"Once a year we find ways of giving back or allowing our consumers to enjoy the benefits of Maggi," stated Robertson.
Rolling out the Maggi mobile cooking show on wheels and the fortune wheel promotion were main highlights at Saturday's stop in Linstead.
The Maggi mobile cooking show gave patrons a chance to learn about the brand as well as how to prepare healthy meals using Maggi products. Shoppers were treated to a variety of soups prepared on the spot by the Maggi chefs.

Three soups, the medley soup mix, the coconut cabbage and the spicy bean stew were prepared, and samples offered to patrons who expressed delight at the tasty liquid food.
"Maggi soups are the only spice I used in my soups to feed my family," Linstead resident Sheron Hird said.
Nordett Morrison, a nutritional advisor, said Maggi is also promoting Soupa Wednesdays using the slogan 'tastes too good for just Saturdays, turn your Wednesdays into Soupa Wednesdays.'
"We want to encourage families to do soups on Wednesdays and to centralize all meals on the Caribbean six food groups - staples, vegitables, fruits, legumes, nuts and food from animal fats and oils," she told THE STAR.
Persons who purchased Maggi products qualified to play the wheel of fortune. Their entries were also placed in a drum, which was spun later in the day and a grand prize winner selected.
Marshal Henry of Old Harbour was the lucky winner of the grand prize. For purchasing Maggi products, he won a four burner gas stove, a pressure cooker and an igloo.
The Maggi road show will roll into the Duhaney Park Shopping Centre, St Andrew, this Saturday.
