British MP shot and killed in her constituency
June 16, 2016
A British MP has died after she was shot three times and repeatedly stabbed in a shocking attack as she arrived at her constituency.
The Labour MP is 41-year-old Jo Cox, who is also a mother of two.
Witnesses said the killer shot her three times, once in the head, before stabbing her as she lay on the ground.
BBC is reporting that a 52-year-old was arrested nearby.
Other sources claim, the man - named locally as 'loner' Tommy Mair - has been detained and his house is currently being investigated by forensic experts.
Her husband Brendan Cox is urging people to 'fight against the hatred that killed her.'
