Uzi sub-machine gun seized in Ramble

A Uzi sub-machine gun containing fifteen 9mm rounds of ammunition was seized by the Ramble Police on the Ramble main road in Hanover, on Thursday.

The Ramble police report that about 9:20 p.m., officers on operation signalled a vehicle to stop.

The driver complied and a man was seen behaving in a manner that aroused the Police's suspicion. He was accosted, searched and the firearm and ammunition found. He was taken into custody in connection with the seizure.
