The Santa Cruz branch of KFC was not completely ready for the after-work crowd that turned up for the 'Crazy Tuesdays' promotion that was launched islandwide this week. The promotion that offers customers seven pieces of chicken for $995 resulted in long lines on the inside and at the drive-through.

Many customers sat patiently in the dining area of the Santa Cruz branch, with some even falling asleep while waiting to hear their ticket numbers called. However, after the first update from one of the branch's supervisors that it would take approximately 30 minutes for the next batch of fried chicken to be available, a few customers exchanged the deal for a Zinger sandwich.

LEVEL OF SERVICE

While some of the Santa Cruz residents present opted to take the spicy chicken even though their preference was original or barbecue, a few persons decided to indulge and purchase the additional 'crazy sides' deal of four biscuits and a family-size serving of fries for $500 so that they could eat it while they waited for the chicken.

"Any restaurant you go to, you have to expect to wait, especially KFC. We just have to wait for what we want," Jermaine, a resident of the parish, told THE STAR. "It definitely makes sense for me who just finish work and can't go home to cook."

Other persons were more concerned with the level of service the customers received.

"Anytime KFC plan a promotion like this again, di staff a go need some training. The service lower than it should be. Santa Cruz never ready fi di amount a crazy people them get," one customer said.

While walking to collect is seven-piece deal, a male customer said: "Remember, a hungry man is an angry man, [so] them (the workers) can't be angry too."
