A man who damaged the windshield of a motor car because the owner allegedly threatened to have him shot will know his fate during his next court appearance.

Charged with malicious destruction of property is 20-year-old Ricardo Byfield.

He pleaded guilty to the offence, and offered the court an explanation.

The court also heard that someone saw Byfield commit the act.

Byfield said: "Your Honour, him threaten me say him a go mek him family shoot me up, so I did it out of anger."

He also told the court that he fixed the windshield.

However, Parish Judge Vaughn Smith told the accused that the complainant had to show up in court and confirm that the repairs were satisfactory.

Byfield's bail was extended until October 29.

A fingerprint order was also made.
