Tesha Miller to spend Christmas in jail

Tesha Miller, the reputed leader of the Spanish Town-based Clansman gang, will spend Christmas in jail.

Miller, who is charged with murder, was denied bail when he appeared before Chief Justice Bryan Sykes in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston just after midday.

Miller is charged with accessory before and after the fact in relation to the murder of former Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) chairman Douglas Chambers at the JUTC's complex in Spanish Town, Catherine on April 27, 2008.

The bail application, which was made by his attorney Bert Samuels.

Miller is to return to court on March 19, 2019.

The prosecution has indicated that it will be making an application to allow two witnesses to testify via video link.
