The May Pen Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating the circumstances surrounding a triple murder, involving brothers, along Rose Avenue in the parish last night.

Information reaching THE STAR is that around 8:30 p.m., in a section of the community, the three were killed by unknown assailants after they went to conduct business in the area and were ambushed.

The deceased men have been identified as 26-year-old Jerome Michael Williams and Calvin Williams, both from Comfort District in the parish.

The third victim is 41-year-old Bartholomew Baldwin Blair of Bartons District in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

Reports are that residents reportedly heard loud explosions and summoned the law men.

THE STAR gathered that on arrival of the police, the Williams brothers were found slumped inside a motor car that was parked.

Blair, our news team was told, was found outside the vehicle suffering from gunshots wounds.

The men were rushed to hospital where they were confirmed dead.

The Corporate Constabulary Unit confirmed the reports and told THE STAR that investigations are ongoing.
