UDC plans five-storey parking garage for downtown Kingston

It appears that the days of parking on the streets of downtown Kingston are coming to an end. The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is planning to build a five-storey parking facility on Orange and Port Royal streets which will accommodate 885 parking spaces.

A time line for the start of the facility has not yet been announced.

The UDC has been inviting local and international investors to enter into a long-term joint venture agreement with the Corporation by submitting proposals to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the multi-storey parking garage. Investors are expected to demonstrate proven experience in the real estate and/or infrastructure sector.
