Police probe brazen double murder

The Clarendon police are probing the circumstances which lead to the murder of two vendors along Bromanty Street near the May Pen Town Centre yesterday morning.

The dead men have been identified as 24-year-old Sheldon 'Papa' Nelson and 20-year-old Romaine 'Bigga' Grant, both of May Pen addresses.

Reports are that the men were standing along the roadway when they were shot about 9:45 a.m.

Our news team gathered that the sound of gunfire sent many persons running for cover.

Head of the Clarendon police, Senior Superintendent Vendolyn Cameron-Powell, could not be reached up to press time.

However, the police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) confirmed the reports and told THE STAR that investigations are ongoing.
