Met Office predicts increased rainfall this weekend

The Meteorological Service says there is a persistent trough across Jamaica and the central Caribbean which is likely to result in periods of showers and thunderstorms across Jamaica.

The showers are expected throughout the weekend and into Monday, and are likely to affect sections of most parishes, especially during the afternoons.

Fishers and other marine operators are urged to exercise caution as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.
