Supreme Ventures to offer $200,000 in scholarships

August 16, 2019

Four students will get a chance to receive $50,000 each in scholarships from Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL), when the company hosts its annual Junior Creators Robotics Camp for primary school children in Kingston and St. Andrew, and St. Catherine.

The camp, which is expected to begin on August 19, will focus on bringing the fun of robotic engineering, programming and coding to 80 children between the ages of eight and 11.

The aim of the camp is to expose primary school students, who may not have had the opportunity otherwise, to robotics and STEM subjects in a fun and exciting environment, said Gail Abrahams, vice president, marketing, communications and sponsorships at Supreme Ventures.

Schools from around the communities surrounding Caymanas Park such as Independence City and Gregory Park primary, as well as schools from the corporate area such as Half-Way-Tree Primary, Greenwich All-Age School and St. Richards Primary schools  are expected to be in attendance.

The camp will be held at Ardenne High School.
