My online date ‘catfished’ me

July 24, 2020

Mi always hear people say that the creepiest set a people do online dating, and mi never believe until mi prove it for myself.

It was way back in 2006, when dating sites was the thing. So mi and mi friends did join one. Mi did always waan meet a bisexual girl because mi did want the experience.

Dem time deh no one was video calling, so me mostly go by pictures. Mi meet one girl, and we talk fi weeks until we finally plan to meet up. She was Indian-looking, slim, and very pretty.

A country mi live, so she tell mi say mi must carry clothes to spend di night. I told her what I was wearing, but when mi ask har what she a wear so mi can know say a she wen mi reach the bus park, she say she wanted it to be a surprise.

Mi did find it kinda strange, but mi never make it be a problem. After mi reach Town, mi deh a the bus stop almost three hours a wait.

Next ting mi know, mi see one heavyset woman come beside mi and say, "Surprise." Mi stand up a look until she call mi by mi name. STAR, let me tell you, she was no Indian, and nothing never slim bout her at all.

It did too late, so mi never have a choice except to go in the car. When mi reach the place, she ask how mi a move so shy and try kiss me. Mi say, a one a di longest night mi ever have.

No matter how mi try ask her why she lie, she avoid di conversation. Her bed was sweaty, and as mi doze off, she wake mi up a tell mi say she waan sex. The next morning, she have the nerve to ask if mi sure mi nuh waan stay one next day.

Mi tell her no and cut left her as early as mi could. Mi delete mi account as mi reach a mi yard. Mi never answer a next call or text from her, and mi never do di online dating ting again.
