The forgotten men of God behind bars
I have been serving God behind these prison bars for 11 years. I have allowed God to use me to help bring young and older men into his kingdom and for others to mature in their faith. God has blessed me to be able to preach and teach the Bible in every correctional facility I have been in for the past 21 years that I have been in prison. God has also blessed me to be able to dance, sing, write my own music and play the piano with grace.
I am also one of the most powerful jailhouse lawyers in the state of New York prison system, and I am being considered for a college programme for prisoners where I can become a lawyer, that is if I pass the test I took a few weeks ago. I am awaiting the results. If I pass, there is an interview that I have to pass, and if that goes well I will be accepted in this college programme to become a lawyer.
Thank you, Jesus, for not forgetting me as your church did and the people of the world did too. As I serve God in this dark, cold and lonely place, I need you to pray for me so that God gives me a breakthrough in this area of my life. You see, the church outside these walls believes that its only mission is to get men and women to do Bible study and to learn more about God and the Word.
Believe me, I agree that this is very important, but what about the men of God like me, whom God is using to teach and reach a lot of younger and older men inside the prison system day and night for Jesus? We need love and help too, whether a package with food, clothes or a Christian sister to write to in order to receive encouragement while serving Christ behind bars.
I don't have any family on the outside and I need to make a connection with a Christian woman who really loves God. Thank you for reading and thanks in advance for the help that myself and others will receive. God bless you.
L.W.
