Portland man arrested in relation to March shooting incident

A Portland man who allegedly shot and injured another man in March of this year, was arrested and charged with wounding with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition on Wednesday, August 26.

Charged is 41-year-old Damon Harris, otherwise called ‘Buggie Reds’, of Anchovy land settlement in Port Antonio, Portland.

Reports from the Port Antonio police are that on Saturday, March 21, 2020 about 8:45 p.m., Harris allegedly approached a man in his community and opened gunfire hitting him several times.

The police were summoned, and the injured man taken to hospital where he was treated and later released.

Harris was subsequently arrested by the police and placed on an ID parade where he was pointed out.

His court date is being finalized.
