Driver charged for DIY plate

A motorist was caught driving with a hand-drawn number plate. Millersburg Police Department shared a snap of the DIY plate that they discovered during a traffic stop earlier this month.

The plate had been created on white paper and had been made to look official, although the police pointed out it that it didn't have a registration sticker.

Further investigation revealed that the driver of the car had no insurance and was driving with a suspended licence.

The force posted on Facebook: "The Millersburg Police Dept is dedicated to keeping the roads safe for responsible drivers in Millersburg and Bourbon County.

"Pro Tip: Don't forget to draw the registration sticker."

Restaurant giving away massive burger

A restaurant if offering a 28lb burger for free if they can eat within an hour. The gut-busting patty-fest is on sale at Madiah's Takeaway in Cumbria and contains 24lb of beef and 20 slices of bacon.

The burger usually costs PS30 although those who can put it away inside an hour, although owner Kyle Barlow doubts that anyone will ever be able to eat the monster meat meal.

He said: "The beef alone is nearly 30,000 calories, the cheese is 2,000 calories, so even just eating the cheese will be a challenge.

"We have had other challenges in the past but this one is definitely the biggest and I'm quite certain there isn't another takeaway in the country putting something like this on.

"I am 100 per cent certain that nobody will finish it, we have put 56 burgers together to make one giant meal."

Goat headbutts cop

A goat was caught on camera inside a police car, where it ate some paperwork before headbutting an officer. Footage of the incident was recorded by a police deputy in Georgia, which shows a female officer trying to coax papers from the goat's mouth before she gets knocked to the ground.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office posted about the strange event on Facebook, writing: "To explain what you are about to see, the deputy went to a residence to serve some civil papers.

"The deputy explained that due to the number of houses she visits daily, she routinely leaves her vehicle's door open because she has had to retreat on a number of occasions from vicious dogs.

"Never once did she expect or even consider what was about to happen this day!"

Tourists fined for stealing sand

A tourist was fined over $1,000 for taking sand from an Italian beach. Authorities in the country said that a French holidaymaker received the punishment after trying to smuggle famous white sand from Sardinia out of the nation.

Sardinia's Forest Rangers explained that the culprit was stopped at a local airport and was found with a bottle containing over four pounds of sand.

A spokesman for the Forest Rangers told CNN: "The bottle was confiscated and is in now in our operating room where we hold these confiscated items. At the end of the year we usually have many bottles of sand accumulated."

A law was introduced in 2017 that made it illegal to steal sand from Sardinian beaches.

The spokesman added: "Last year we found a website that was selling our sand as souvenirs. It's become a very known phenomenon here in Europe."
