88 new COVID cases, three deaths, 31 recoveries

Jamaica on Tuesday recorded three more COVID-19 deaths pushing the death tally to 342. 

The deceased are: an 82-year-old male from St Ann, and two deaths previously under investigation, that of an 88-year-old male from St Elizabeth, and an 87-year-old male from Kingston & St. Andrew. 

Meanwhile, of the 938 samples tested in the last 24 hours, 88 returned positive results increasing Jamaica's total confirmed cases to 15,241 with 2,781 being active.

Of the new cases, 46 are males and 42 are females, with ages ranging from 1 year to 90 years.

In the meantime, there were 31 more recoveries, increasing the total to 11,942.

Some 100 persons are in hospital with eight being moderately and 11 critically ill.

According to the Ministry of Health, 12 persons are in government quarantine, while 21,390 are quarantined at home.
