Woman searching for baby brother
When her mother died in 2003, June Lawrence and her siblings were forced to separate.
Lawrence, who was seven at the time, recalls having a younger brother, Donavan Lynch, whom she hasn't seen since.
The 24-year-old revealed that after searching for years, her only wish is to one day be reunited with him.
"Getting a chance to meet my brother would mean so much to me right now because I really don't have anybody. I have a seven-year-old son and that's about it," she told THE STAR. "I talk to my mother's father from time to time when I get a chance but I know he would love to see my little brother, too."
"I have two other brothers that are older than me but we don't really have a close relationship," she added. Based on what she can remember, her mother Ionie Armstrong, a single parent, had settled in Waltham after leaving her Broadgate, St Mary community.
Different father
"She had me and my older brothers for the same man but my little brother had a different father and his father's parents took him to live with them and the other three of us were given to a lady in Belfield, St Mary," she said. Lawrence says she used to communicate with Lynch, but that ended abruptly.
"I use to talk to him through his grandmother but she died so I didn't have no way to contact him or anything and he didn't have any phone because he was young. The funeral (of their mom) would be the last time I saw him," she said. She has no idea where Lynch's paternal side of the family is from, and the last piece of information she got was that he was in St Catherine.
"One of my mother's brothers told me that he was living somewhere in Angels at one point, but I don't know how true it is," she said.
Lawrence estimates that Lynch was about three years old when their mother died.
"Right now he must be grown and different and I just want to see what he looks like. I'm just not comfortable knowing my brother is somewhere out there and he might not be all right. Finding him would make a change in my life," she said.
Lawrence is asking Donavan or anyone who may know of his whereabouts to contact her at (876) 290-0557
