St Thomas man charged with murder

A St Thomas mason has been charged with the murder of Nataliesha Earl, a 37-year-old shopkeeper of Taylor Land, 9 Miles, Bull Bay in St Andrew, who was shot in her house on September 4, last year.

Charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition is 30-year-old Dueton Morris, otherwise called Mullo, a mason of East Albion, Yallahs in St Thomas.

Fired several shots

The police said that Morris and other men armed with guns reportedly fired several shots at Earl's house and then forced their way inside, and shot her several times.

The Corporate Communications Unit of the police force said that Morris was arrested in Knightsville, St Thomas on Saturday following an intelligence-led operation. He was charged after an interview in the presence of his attorney.

A date for his appearance in court has not yet been finalised.
