294 COVID cases, three more deaths
Jamaica on Ash Wednesday recorded another 294 COVID-19 cases, of the 1,042 samples tested, increasing Jamaica's total cases to 20,310 with 6,939 being active.
Of the new cases, 141 are males and 153 are females, with ages ranging from 63 days to 90 years.
Kingston and St Andrew recorded the most new cases with 117, followed by St Catherine with 92 and St James with 34.
The parishes of St Elizabeth and St Thomas did not record any new cases.
In the meantime, there were 46 more recoveries, increasing the total to 12,781.
Some 253 persons are in hospital with 22 being moderately and 21 critically ill.
According to the Ministry of Health, four persons are in government quarantine, while 20,754 are quarantined at home.
In the meantime, three more Jamaicans have died from the virus pushing the death tally to 384.
The deceased are: a 31-year-old female from Kingston and St Andrew, a 71-year-old female from Manchester, and a 58-year-old male from St. Elizabeth.
One more death is now under investigation for a tally of 46 deaths being probed.
