257 hospitalised, 343 new COVID cases
As Jamaica's COVID-19 confirmed cases continue to trend towards the 21,000 mark, 343 more Jamaicans have tested positive for the virus, from a sample of 1,109 tests in the last 24 hours, pushing the total to 20,924, with 7,442 active.
Of the new cases, 168 are males and 167 are females, with ages ranging from 16 days to 89 years.
St Catherine recorded the most new cases with 77, followed by Kingston and St Andrew with 52 and Manchester with 34.
Westmoreland recorded the least amount of new cases with only three.
In the meantime, there were 55 more recoveries, increasing the total to 12,883.
Some 257 persons are in hospital with 28 being moderately and 20 critically ill.
According to the Ministry of Health, 12 persons are in government quarantine, while 21,025 are quarantined at home.
There were no new deaths.
