346 new COVID cases, four more deaths, 228 hospitalised
Four more Jamaicans have died from COVID-19 pushing the death tally to 417.
The deceased are: an 87-year-old female and a 68-year-old male both from Kingston and St. Andrew, and a 62-year-old male and a 69-year-old male both from St. James.
Meanwhile, of the 861 samples tested in the last 24 hours, 346 returned positive results, increasing the total confirmed cases to 22,817 with 8,863 active.
Of the new cases, 167 are males and 179 are females, with ages ranging from 26 days to 92 years.
Kingston and St Andrew recorded the most new cases with 145, followed by St Catherine with 56, and St James with 54.
St Thomas, St Mary, St Ann and St Elizabeth were the parishes with the lowest record count, with only four cases each.
Some 228 patients are hospitalised with 22 being moderately ill and 20 critical.
In the meantime 87 more persons have recovered, bringing that total to 13,318.
According to the Ministry of Health, eight persons are in government quarantine, while 21,983 are quarantined at home.
