Three wanted men apprehended in St Catherine

Three St Catherine wanted men have been apprehended following intensified operations by police personnel within the parish and other divisions within the past two weeks.

One of the men has since been taken into police custody, another was fatally shot, while the other was shot and injured during confrontation with lawmen in separate incidents.

They are:

• Thirty-nine-year-old Devon Campbell, otherwise called ‘Yogi’, of Gordon Pen, St Catherine. He was wanted for shooting and other gun-related offences. He was held while boarding a plane in Montego Bay, St James and has been charged with shooting with intent and is awaiting other charges.

• Twenty-two-year-old Leonardo Laing, otherwise called ‘Stuka’, of Brunswick Avenue, St Catherine was shot dead in the Maxfield area of Kingston. He was wanted for robbery and gun-related offences.

• The other man was injured in the Colleyville area of Manchester. He was wanted in connection with several rapes in the St. Catherine North Division. His identity is being withheld as he awaits identification parades.
