Lybran looks to ‘dweet’ again
Dancehall artiste Lybran recently released his new single, titled Dweet.
"This single is just basically telling those who it may concern that listen, if you don't want to put your support towards building the ladder towards greatness, then I will do it on my own," he explained. Penned and recorded in just about one hour, the track has been widely received across the country, with the official audio amassing thousands of views on YouTube.
"People who know Lybran appreciate the diversity in style and sound. So my listeners who appreciate the new sound of dancehall like the vibe," he stated.
Known for his past singles such as Labba Labba and Not Even A Dolla, the self-proclaimed 'Rum Boss' has been blazing through the dancehall industry for the past few years. While the ongoing global pandemic has slowed a few things down, the artiste thinks it has brought some opportunities.
"First, there were no shows. Then you have to find ways and means to feed the family and keep afloat. However, it helped me to develop a business that wouldn't have happened if I was busy touring. It helped me to see the value of every dollar and it also helped to add another layer of strength to my inner being," he said.
Now with this new track, the stage is set for new music and other projects to be released in the coming months.
"The album is coming and some hot singles, plus collabs with some giants in the business, and so on. I'm ready to work with any and every producer who is ready to work with Lybran. They just need to hit me up and let's work," he stated.
